Dear Mission Intermediate Grade Center Parents and Guardians: The Wagoner County Health Department will be providing the researched-based curriculum, Emerging Relationships, to your student(s) starting on September 28th, 2026 through November 13th, 2026. This curriculum has been reviewed and approved by the school administration. The curriculum is research-based and developed for 10 to 12 year-olds for use in school-based settings. It is grounded in the six principles of Positive Youth Development and equips young people with the skills to form healthy relationships with themselves and their peers. Its purpose is to empower young people with the knowledge and skills to promote healthy individual growth and strong relationships with the peers and adult champions in their lives. The curriculum will be implemented by a trained educator from the Wagoner County Health Department. Student participation is voluntary and confidential. Whether or not the student participates, their course grade will not be affected. You are welcome to preview the approved curriculum and class materials, as well as meet the educator at Parent Preview Night on September 8th, 2026 from 5:30pm-6:30pm at Mission Intermediate Grade Center. Being able to communicate with our families quickly and reliably is important—especially when the information is urgent.
On Tuesday, September 15 at 6:00 PM, Coweta Public Schools will conduct our annual Mass Notification Test. During the test, we will send a districtwide notification to help ensure our communication systems are working properly and that our families are connected.

Chromebook Grace Period Ends Monday — Protect Your Student’s Device
The two-week Chromebook grace period ends Monday.
Families have been given the first two weeks of school to identify and report any existing problems or damage with their student’s school-issued Chromebook. After Monday, students may be responsible for damage to their device that occurs during the school year.
Now is a great time to consider Chromebook insurance.
For a relatively small one-time cost, School Device Coverage can help protect families from a much larger unexpected expense. A Chromebook replacement can cost $218–$358, while coverage is available for $23 for the Chromebook alone or $28 for the Chromebook and charger.
Coverage includes accidental damage, cracked screens, liquid damage, loss and theft, with no deductible. Coverage runs through July 31, 2027.
Purchasing coverage is easy
Parents purchase coverage directly from School Device Coverage online. Please do not send money to your child’s school.
When completing the online form, you do not need to know your student’s Chromebook serial number. Simply enter TBD in the serial number field.

One important reminder: Insurance is designed to cover future incidents. Existing damage or loss that is already present when coverage is purchased is not covered.

MIGC Families:
If you are changing your student's transportation from bus to car or car to bus, you will need to call Miss Michele in the office and let her know. If your child is riding the bus for the first time, they will need to have an orange bus pass to give the driver for the first time. After that first time, they will not need a pass. Miss Michele has to know so she can get that pass to them at the end of the day. Please communicate any and all time sensitive information to the office (Michele) and not the teacher because they may not see the email throughout the day. Thank you! 🧡

Thank you so much for your grace and patience today as we move the car rider line back to how it used to be. I promise it will run a lot smoother in the next week or so. We always have more car riders than normal on the first and second day of school. I promise this works. I have done this for 11 years.😆🚌🚗
Good Afternoon MIGC Familes!
Just some information you will need before the first day-
School start/end times-School starts at 8:15. You cannot drop your students off before 7:45 AM. If you do drop off your student at school before then, they may be unsupervised by an adult. School ends at 3:05 PM.
We will have a table set up outside the front doors where your student can stop and get their paper schedule if they forgot theirs or didn't get theirs last night. If they got a paper one, please try to remember to send it with them so they don't have to stand in line for it. We are also not letting parents in the front door past the schedule table. This is for safety reasons and it will allow us to show kids exactly where they need to go. They can bring their school supplies in and drop it off at their homeroom teachers classroom and we will have plenty of staff out here to help them.
Car rider drop off and pick up- I have already sent out a parking lot map of our designated car lines so that you know where to drop your student off in the mornings and pick them up in the afternoon. We have 3 lanes that are marked by white arrows. For pickup in the afternoon, PLEASE utilize all 4 lanes so that traffic does not back up into the road. When you are dropping off students in the morning- pull into a lane, PLEASE pull up all the way to the stop sign and crosswalk, so that your student can get across the parking lot safely. In the mornings, please do not stop in the middle of a lane and let your student(s) out because it causes others behind you to not be able to pull up to the designated spot that you are supposed to drop off. The students will get out and once they reach the sidewalk, they will walk to the front door to go in and eat breakfast or they will go directly to the playground for morning recess.
Morning recess/cafeteria: 4th/5th grade students will be out on the playground for morning recess until 8:30 unless there is inclement weather and then the students will go the gym to sit until 8:25. If the student is eating breakfast, they will go into the cafeteria and eat BEFORE going to the playground. 6th grade will be seated in the cafeteria.
Cell phones-Students are allowed to bring their cell phone to school, BUT, they are not allowed to have them on the playground or in class throughout the day. Per our student handbook policy, they must keep them powered off their lockers throughout the day unless awe are sitting in the gym in the morning before school starts due to weather purposes, students can have them out to play games only.
I'm sure I will be sending out more information but this will get us started with a great start tomorrow. Looking forward to the most epic year!
