4th grade field day will be moved to Wednesday 5/20. Due to a high likelihood of rain on Tuesday, our 4th grade field day will be moved from Tuesday 5/19 to Wednesday 5/20. We know many parents adjust their schedules to attend, so we made this decision early to try to help. You will be receiving an email from Mrs. Bible, or Mrs. Larochelle with additional information. Thank you for your understanding.
Please see the attachment regarding our upcoming PTO meeting this Wednesday, May 13th! We have open positions!

Any student heading to 7th grade will need to have their T dap vaccine. If you have not brought us an updated shot record to prove that your student has that vaccine, Michele sent a form home with them today for parents/guardians to fill out and the Caring Van at Mission from 9:30 to 11 tomorrow to give the T-dap shot if you send the forms filled out back with your student. If you choose not to use the Caring Van, then you will need to get the T-dap shot from your choice of providers and bring us an updated shot record to complete your sixth graders junior high enrollment. If you have any questions, you can call the Mission office at 918-486-2186. Thanks!
6th grade band families: The attached document went home with our 6th grade band students today. Please read it for info regarding the concert. 🎶

Good Morning 4th Grade Parents and Guardians,
This year’s 4th Grade Field Day will be held on May 19th at the High School Track. 4th Graders will walk to the track around 9:15, come back to MIGC for lunch and recess from 11:00-11:45, then return to the track and stay until around 2:15. This will be a day filled with competition, events, and fun where the homeroom classes will compete against each other for medals and bragging rights! We need volunteers! There will be 11 “stations” at Field Day, including the drink/rest table. We will need several parents who can volunteer to work for the day (essentially 8:30-11 for most volunteers, but you are welcome to stay and help from 8:30-2:15, with a lunch break from 11-11:45). Students will go from station to station to compete in all 11 events from 9:15-10:45; this is the time we will need the most volunteers. Starting after lunch (11:45-2:15), students will all compete in the tug-of-war and relay race (optional). We will wrap up with the individual competition for the winner of each event and the ¼ mile race (optional). If you can only come for part of it, that’s fine too—come join us!! Please sign up via the MIGC 4th Grade Sign-Up Genius. You can click here or use the link below. Please add your child’s name in the comments so we know for groups! All volunteers need to visit the website below or scan the QR code to submit your license information. Please select Field Trip as the reason.
On the 19th, please make sure your child wears athletic clothes and tennis shoes. We will be outside for most of the day. If your child needs an inhaler at all, please make sure the office has it, and we can take it with us. Your child will have water provided to them at the rest station. Also, please make sure if your child is prone to sunburns that you apply sunscreen on them before they leave and/or send some with them. If you send them with sunscreen, please put their name on it in some way so we can return it if necessary. We will send more information about Field Day when we get closer to the event. We will also send reminders to parents and guardians who have signed up to volunteer.

MIGC Families:
We will begin state testing for all students tomorrow, Monday, April 20. We will test all week long and some small group testing will continue into next week. It is important that your student is at school on time, before 8:30 each and every morning. If your student misses the beginning of a testing session, then they will have to miss that testing session and make it up at a later time. It is very difficult to reschedule makeup testing, so we appreciate your support by making sure your student is here and on time. Also, if you have to pick your student up for any appointment or any reason in the afternoon, just know that they may be in a testing session and they cannot leave until their test is finished. If you want to call at any time to see if your student is testing before you come and pick them up, you can call the office and Miss Michele will let you know.
We hope that you will make sure your student gets a good nights sleep and eats a good breakfast so that they can perform their very best on the test! Thank you!
